This month is very busy. I start my new, grown up, full time job next week, which will take a bit of adjusting too! But before that, Scottie hopefully has some clear round jumping on Friday, which should be good and today we filmed our two tests for E-Dressage at the end of the month.
I decided to film today as I am working at the race track tomorrow and Thursday and I am unsure as to how much time I will have after this week. However, the weather was against us today! I arrived at the yard in beautiful sunshine. Just as I got Scottie in from the field, it poured it down and flooded the C end of the school and made it soggy everywhere else. I decided to ride anyway and I got two reasonably good tests filmed. They are already uploaded to youtube if you want to see them.
However, because it was so wet and because Scottie didn’t go quite as well as he has been going, if I get an opportunity to refilm the tests I will do. But I am unsure whether this chance will happen!
Ideally, I wanted to practice jumping Scottie before Friday, but again, I am unsure as to whether I will have to time. Luckily, the clear round jumping starts quite small, so it shouldn’t be too daunting. I am thinking of doing a 45, 60 and 70cm. Just because he hasn’t been out in a while. I do feel like the 45cm is too small. but there is nothing between that and the 60cm. And I would rather do a smaller one to start with, to get both our eyes in.
We are also hopefully going to a showing and Show Jumping show beginning of July with a girl and her ex racer from the new yard.We just need to book a lorry and we are ready to go. This show has an in hand RoR and ridden RoR class, which I would like to enter Scottie. It also has riding horse and both clear round and other SJ classes. So I need to have a think about what classes I would like to do as well as the RoR.
So I have quite a few exciting things coming up and I will try and keep you all updated. But it’s going to be a busy few weeks and I might not be able to do as much as I usually do!
