Equestrian Medal Table

With all the Equestrian Olympic events now over, I thought I would have a look at the medal board for the equestrian events! And unsurprisingly, Germany came out on top!

Rank Country Gold Silver Bronze
1 Germany 2 2 2
2 France 2 1 0
2 Great Britain 2 1 0
4 USA 0 1 2
5 Sweden 0 1 0
6 Canada 0 0 1
6 Australia 0 0 1

This was thanks to their Fantastic performances in all 3 disciplines! The most memorable of which are Michael Jung’s Individual Eventing Gold,  Team Dressage Gold and jumping off against Canada to secure Team Bronze in the Show Jumping.

France did very well too! Getting team golds in  both Eventing and Show Jumping. Where as Great Britain managed 2 Individual golds in the Dressage and the Show Jumping. Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro rode a truly beautiful test an I think Big Star’s enthusiasm for show jumping won over the audience, making his individual Gold with Nick Skelton a beautiful thing.

The USA also did well with 2 team medals in Show Jumping and Dressage, holding their own against the strong European teams.

What were your favourite moments of the Equestrian at Rio 2016?
