The Horse had a really good webinar last week about the transitioning of racehorses to riding horses. They had two fantastic guests joining the host, vet Janik Gasiorowski and racehorse retrainer Steuart Pittman, giving an interesting insight to the rise in popularity of the thoroughbred and ex racehorse.
Now while the Horse is American, most of the advice given is universal for anyone considering taking on an ex racehorse, or someone currently working with one. Live listeners sent in their questions for the experts to give their professional opinion on and is was fascinating to hear and it has certainly inspired a few future blog posts for me!
