#5Photos1Day

feeding the thoroughbred, scottie eating hay in the field

Those of you who follow us on social media, especially Instagram, may have noticed a few photos earlier this week with the #5Photos1Day. Well this was another fantastic challenge set by Haynet for us bloggers with the idea of giving our readers/followers an idea of what a typical day for us looks like.

Now I thought this was a fantastic challenge and immediately decided my day of choice would be the 1st of Feb. There was no exciting reason I chose this day other than it was the next day and I couldn’t wait to get started. Now just for the real challenge, trying to find 5 vaguely interesting things to photograph which happened that day.

The first photo came easily, turning Scottie out in the first light of day with the Supermoon still in the sky created a pretty gorgeous moody photo (even if I do say so myself!) So this photo was a nice easy start to the challenge!

Inspiration for a second photo was also easy as I was greeted by a lovely gift of prosecco on my desk when I arrived at work from the head of the Digital department. We all recieved a little thank you present after a few very stressful weeks launching a new product! However, being at work, I had to be a little bit sneaky about my photo taking, so the photo itself isn’t anything to write home about, but it was a really significant part of my day.

At work we have limited parking on site, so we have a deal with the local supermarket to park in their car park. This car park is only a 5 minute walk away, but in the pouring rain it is not very fun and I am always relieved to get back into my car! I love my car, it’s great to drive and once I eventually get my trailer license, it is more than capable of taking us out and about! So the view from my car after battling through the pouring rain was an easy choice for my third photo.

My next stop of the day was back to the yard, to get Scottie ready for bed. With him still being a bit muddy I left his nice warm turnout rug on and gave him a nice big haynet and his dinner.

After this I went straight into town for dinner and a movie with a friend and eventually got home around 10.30pm to find Tally asleep at the bottom of the stairs, a lovely sight to come home to!

This really was a great challenge set by Haynet and you have until the end of Feb to take part! Simply pick a day, take 5 photos what show your typical day and share them with the #5Photos1Day!
