I recently had my email about renewing my share in Paris Dixie who I share through the Owners Group. They have recently updated their website, making it a lot more user friendly and you can now view your stable with all your horses in a really easy way. (With a big button to buy a new horse!) I do always have a look at new horses they have available for syndicates but have never seriously thought about buying another share. However, last week that changed!
I don’t know if it was the surprise at how cheap it was to renew my share in Paris Dixie or the blues about Scottie still being out of action. But one of the new syndicate opportunities really caught my eye. Cupboard Love, available for a breeding syndicate.
She is a 4-year-old who has raced with the Owners Group since a 2-year-old and won a few of her early races. However, after a fetlock injury she never really performed the same, so just before Christmas they decided to retire her to stud. What stallion she will be put to and what stud she will go to are still to be decided. But I thought it would be an interesting experience!
It certainly isn’t a way to make money, but I am looking forward to following her progress and hopefully following the progress of any offspring. Plus with things being a bit quiet on the Scottie front, it is something else interesting to write about!
