Okay this is my last one I promise! But I would like to introduce you to the new addition to my Owners Group stable, Asdaa.
Asdaa is a 4 year old gelding trained by mark Johnston in Yorkshire. He has had quite a bit of success for the Owners Group (OG), having 2 wins and nearly always in the placings this past year. He was one of the first OG horses to run after racing restarted after Covid-19 and he really caught my eye.
If you have spoken to me at all about OG horses, you will know that I have been waiting for what has felt like an age for relinquished shares to become available as I think he could be a fantastic horse and there is rumours about him maybe turning to hurdling after he hits his peak on the flat. But this hasn’t been confirmed at all and I did buy him to be a flat horse to fill out my stable a little.
Excitingly, he has his first run for me today! He is declared for the 5.30 at Chester later today and will be ridden by Joe Fanning. He hasn’t been highly rated going into the race so I have managed to put a bet on at 11/1. Which is great of an each way where he is usually pretty consistent. But I am excited to welcome him to the stable as a horse who runs often and is pretty reliable.
