2020 was horrible for everyone. 2021 has started as a low point too with yet another National Lockdown and things looking like they are going to get worse before they get better. So I have created a blogging Instagram challenge for equine bloggers for February.
Who can take part?
While this challenge is aimed at Equine Bloggers, it is open to anyone with an Instagram account.
How to take part
I have created a daily prompt for every day of February, which happens to start on a Monday this month! All you need to do is use the prompts to post on Instagram using the hashtag #EquineBlogChallenge. You don’t have to post every day, while I encourage you to for the challenge.
I will be checking every day and trying to make sure I see all of your posts. If you also want to reach out and like some of the other posts in the challenge that would be great too.

Extra hints for the daily prompts
1. The face behind the blog
Sometimes we get so focused on what our blog is about that we forget to talk about ourselves. Who are you? Share a photo of yourself. Introduce yourself. Even if you do talk about yourself, have you really introduced yourself to any new followers? This is the great opportunity to.
2. Are you an Early Bird or Night Owl?
Simple enough question, but as equine bloggers, many of us are also horse owners. This involves early mornings. But how well do you really cope with early mornings?
3. What is your day job?
For many of us, the dream is to get to the point where our blog is our full time job. But most of us still have “real” jobs. What is yours?
4. What is your favourite product right now?
Do you have a favourite product right now or something you are using regularly you can’t imagine living without? Tell us about it. Tag the company if you like.
5. How or why did you start your blog?
Everyone starts blogging for a different reason. It doesn’t matter whether you have a website blog, a social blog or a vlog. What is your story?
6. Introduce us to your pets
Most of us have horses as well as other pets. Introduce us to your current pets. Can you find any relevant hashtags for your pets if you don’t usually talk about them?
7. What are you most proud of from 2020?
2020 was hard. But think back about everything you did, how you adapted to the drastic changes. Which of these are you most proud of?
8. Where are you from/where do you live?
This can be as specific or vague as you feel comfortable with. It could be country, county, city, village, anything you like. What do you like about it?
9. What have you been watching recently?
It’s lockdown, many of us have been binging more TV than ever. What have you been watching recently? Or what was the last really good thing you watched?
10. Where is your favourite place to work?
This could be your main job or your blog, but where is your favourite place to sit down and work? Do you have a home office? Or do you prefer to work on the sofa or outside?
11. What does a typical day look like for you?
Do you have a daily routine? Or is your day a bit more ad hoc? Share what a typical day looks like for you.
12. What do you think makes your blog unique?
There are so many blogs out there now. What makes your blog different to others in your niche?
13. Ask your followers a question.
This could be something about your niche, ie: do you prefer mares or geldings? Or it could be something about your followers themselves, ie: are you a tea or coffee drinker? You could do this as a story if you would find it easier. But also tell your followers what your answer would be.
14. Who is your Valentine?
It’s Valentine’s day and who is your valentine today? Is it a partner? Pet? Yourself? Obviously in the current climate we are not always able to see love ones so feel free to get as creative as you like.
15. What has been getting you through lockdown?
Lockdown has been hard for everyone, what has been getting you through? Is it work? A loved one? A pet? A new project?
16. Share a brand you love.
Tell your followers about a brand you love what you think they will love too.
17. Where is your happy place?
Show us or tell us about your happy place. Is it somewhere you aren’t able to go to currently?
18. What is your favourite blog post you have written?
Describe your favourite blog post, put a link in your bio if you want too. Why is it your favourite?
19. Who is your favourite blogger to follow?
Introduce your followers to a fellow blogger and why you like following them. Maybe tag them too.
20. Did you have any pets growing up?
Show us some of your pets growing up. Or if you didn’t have pets, what was your favourite activity growing up?
21. What are you hoping to achieve in 2021?
While things are still very up in the air, we can’t just put everything on hold. What are you hoping to achieve this year, it can be as big or small as you like.
22. What are you looking forward to most post Covid?
We have put so much of our lives on hold over the past year due to Covid. What are you most looking forward to once this is all behind us?
23. What have you been listening to recently?
Have you been listening to a new podcast? Or discovered a new artist? Maybe you’ve gone back to vinyl.
24. Explain your blog in a paragraph.
Some of your followers on Instagram might not know about your blog. Explain what your blog is all about in a paragraph.
25. What is the most popular blog post you have written?
You can choose this on whatever stat you like, most views, most likes, most comments. Share it with your followers, maybe add a link to it from your bio.
26. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
What is your favourite thing about blogging and why? Being creative, sharing your story, working with brands, meeting fellow bloggers. It can be anything!
27. What did you want to be when you grew up?
All children have big dreams. What was your dream job as a child?
28. What are you proud of this month?
Simple enough, what have you done this week that you are proud of?
