Scottie’s Diary ~ Freedom!

Posted on October 7, 2018

I just wanted to express to you all what a relief it is to be free again! I know Mum has been telling you about my imprisonment, so you should all know that I was locked away for almost an entire week! A week! I guess I can kinda understand…

Scottie’s Diary ~ Super Thoroughbred Powers

Posted on August 8, 2017

As you will probably know, thanks to Mum sharing it all over social media and writing a long blog post about it at the weekend, I had a bit of an accident at the weekend. And when I say accident, I really mean disagreement with Jo Jo. I really hurt…

Scottie's Diary ~ I Am Legend

Posted on January 8, 2017

This weekend Mum decided to move me to a new home. She arrived in a lorry yesterday lunch time and brought me in from the field extremely early. As soon as we were on the yard she tied me up to the lorry while her and Katie got to work…

I’ve been wanting to tell you all this story since it happened. But mum has been very busy doing God knows what, so it has taken a while for me to get her to type all this for me! Sunday morning I was finishing my breakfast when mum arrived, so…

Scottie’s Diary ~ In the Dog House

Posted on November 4, 2016

I can just tell that Mum really isn’t very impressed with me today and it isn’t exactly my fault… But it has resulted in me getting less carrots in my dinner and breakfast (don’t think I wouldn’t notice!) She also turned me out in the rain (well it was spitting)…

Scottie’s Diary ~ I am not a Giant Insect.

Posted on July 20, 2016

Because the weather is lovely now, there are lots of flies about. And for some reason, people seem to think that if they make us look like a giant fly, the flies will leave us alone. I don’t get it. Putting a mask on doesn’t mean we look like flies.…

Scottie's Diary ~ Super Scottie!

Posted on December 16, 2015

Today was a very exciting day! I went out in the field and had a great time intimidating all the deer I see leaping around while out hacking. Milly’s mum seemed very confused by it all – I’m not sure she’s ever seen a deer, or she would understand exactly what…

I just love this guy! Earlier this week I set our I just love this guy! Earlier this week I set ourselves a challenge of competing in an online longrein dressage class at the end of the month. The aim of this was to give me a bit more direction in our longreining. The test I have found is a bit challenging, 10m circles in trot and lots of center lines! 😱 But he is looking the soundest he has done in ages. So in prep of getting back on I want him to do a bit more work and see if he is still comfortable. 3 days ago, any time I had asked him to trot on the longrein, it had ended up with him going a bit too fast and then freaking out that I am running behind him and then a circle of death on one line at full speed wondering why I would be so horrible as to chase him! This morning we mastered trotting down the Longside, a probably 12m circle at B, back down the Longside and walking. On both reins multiple times! He is just a super star. #equestrianbloggers #blogger #horseblogger #equineblogger

Whorls and personality. I just stumbled on a real Whorls and personality. I just stumbled on a really interesting post on Facebook about the position of your horses whorl and what this means for their personality. (I have shared it on my Facebook page if you are interested!) But I've drawn on Scottie's face to look at the positioning of his whorl. It is above eye level, what means he is smart, energetic and outgoing. #equestrianbloggers #blogger #horseblogger #equineblogger #horsesofinstagram #thoroughbred #thoroughbredsofinstagram #exracehorse #exracehorsesofinstagram #ottb #ottbofinstagram #chestnuthorse #chestnutgelding #chestnutthoroughbred #whorl #personality
