This morning when I took Scottie's rug off and sto

This morning when I took Scottie's rug off and stood back it struck me how much weight he has put on recently!

I think it is mainly a combination of not currently being in work and eating too much hay. After all he is only fed low calorie balancer and some lite chaff. 🙈

So Scottie is now going on a bit of a diet. I'm going to be a bit meaner with his rugs, start double netting his hay in the hope that we shed some of those pounds over the winter.

I wasn't going to enter @honeychop photo competition this time, mainly because Scottie currently resembles a swamp monster 90% of the time 🙈

But this morning there was something happening in the distance and the low morning sun was peaking out from behind the clouds and I was able to get this artsy shot! Certainly a gorgeous gelding in my eyes!

Scottie was in desperate need for some new overrea

Scottie was in desperate need for some new overreach boots so I popped to our local tack shop this weekend. Unfortunately there was very little choice for large boots. They only had our usual ones in white 🙈

So I thought I would try a new type, more plastic than rubber and a little bit cheaper. Scottie has managed to destroy one in his stable after coming in from the field... luckily I also bought our usual style in white!

I can't remember the last time my Dad got in my ca

I can't remember the last time my Dad got in my car and didn't comment on the smell. In fact I think he makes the same comment about me when I get home after mucking out most days!

Unfortunately the smell of horse wee, or more specifically ammonia, really sticks to you and your clothes. Not only does it stink, but with it being a harmful chemical, you can't help but worry about what damage it could be doing.

So I was really excited when @equifreshorganic got in contact with me asking if I would like to try their stable powder! I've seen similar things before but really looking forward to giving it a go.
